The Importance of hiring a Wedding Videographer

It’s 1985 and it’s your wedding day! Uncle Leroy shows up with his big brick VHS Camcorder to tape your ceremony and reception. You get the cassette tape from him with choppy footage and horrible audio. But hey, things have come a long, long way since the birth of cameras & video.

A notable rise in couples adding wedding videography emerged in the 2010s when Digital Cameras went from photography only to being able to capture video as well. This advancement & digitalized approach has enabled video to evolve from your uncle’s handy cam to a more cinematic & documentary style end product.

We can admit, it’s probably not the first thing on your list when it comes to planning a wedding, but one of the biggest regrets couples have is not getting video coverage. Believe us, it’s worth it! You can’t press play on a photograph. It’s always a plus to hire a videographer that specializes in only video. That way you know they are focused on perfecting their one craft, instead of offering multiple services.

A current trend we love is having an unplugged ceremony. Leave it to the professionals to capture every ounce of the magic so your guest can really be present in the moment. We could go on and on about the benefits, but just trust you won’t regret getting that video!
